DEAR ALOHA is a heartfelt story about the profound meaning of aloha through displaced Native Hawaiians, revealing the impacts of colonization that drive more than half of Hawaiians away from their homeland. What unfolds is an intimate perspective of how aloha endures through collective hope and struggle. But can aloha exist without Hawaiians?

Diaspora?

More than 50% of Hawaiians now live away from their ancestral home of Hawai'i. Through hardships, homesickness, and loss of identity, it is  ALOHA that sustains us.
